About the Event
THIS IS A 12 HR COURSE
The primary purpose of the course is to "buy time" so that the patient may make it to the hospital alive.
At the core of the AECC program are three distinct phases that have been well-proven by Special Forces Medics in the war against terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The phases are as follows:
Point of Impact: Care rendered while still under attack or in an inherently dangerous situation.
Detailed Care: Care provided while the threat is not active, but may re-emerge at any point.
Evacuation: Care delivered while the casualty is being evacuated from the incident site. This is hopefully a setting where the patient is en route to a hospital or surgeon.
AECC focuses on life-saving medical interventions during these phases of care and provides guidelines for managing trauma in the civilian remote environment. Our course takes the approach to provide care outside of the traditional EMS sphere.
We provide all medical supplies for skills training and scenarios.
Required Equipment:
-Durable Outdoor Clothing that is weather appropriate
-Boots (duty boots, salomon or like are acceptable)
-Gloves
-Eye Protection
-Hydration Source
-Pen & Paper
-Belt
BELOW IS OPTIONAL FOR LEO or FIRST RESPONDER STUDENTS:
***If you have kit/equipment, bring it. This lets you run the scenario in the same equipment you might use in a real situation. We like to say "train how you fight."***
-Wet or Cold Weather Gear
-Change of Socks
-Personal Aid Bag/Kit
REFUND POLICY
Range University limits our class sizes to provide an unparalleled and individualized experience for each of our students. To do this we require prepayment and preregistration for all training classes and courses.
In order to provide our classes, we must commit resources, assign instructors, arrange classroom/range availability and incur other costs associated with the class. These commitments are not reduced when fewer students attend. Additionally, we many times do not have space for everyone that may want to participate in a scheduled session and therefore must turn away students who wish to sign up.
The weather may also be a factor uncontrollable by Range University and the session may need to be canceled or rescheduled.
You acknowledge and agree that in the event you are unable to attend the scheduled session a refund will only be given when notice is provided of your need to cancel two weeks prior to the scheduled session. This may allow others to attend in your place.
In the event, you are unable to attend the session and less notice is provided you will be able to reschedule to attend another scheduled session, but no refunds can be provided.
Individuals that do not show up for the scheduled class and do not provide notice prior to the class, agree to forfeit their fees and ability to reschedule.
We appreciate your understanding and the reason behind this policy. By registering up and paying for a session means that you fully understand and accept Range University’s refund policy.
